Elissa Brown is a freelance writer & small-business owner based in Anchorage, Alaska.
She received her B.A. in Psychology and Environmental Studies from Williams College (2009) and has taught experiential education and science in classrooms and wilderness settings around the world. As a Fulbright research grantee in Norway (2013-14), she cemented her love of the Arctic while researching how outdoor learning experiences could be integrated into formal education.
She is also a founder of Wild Scoops, a new Alaskan ice cream company.
